EKFB and HS2 – works in and near Wendover, December 2022
In November and December work around our Small Dean Viaduct site will ramp up, as we begin preparation works for the A413 London Road temporary diversion which is due to be operational in early 2023.
We will be diverting the road to the east, far enough to make a wider area between the existing A413 and the Chiltern Railway which will enable us to continue our construction works for the Viaduct.
The road realignment also includes a variety of permanent utility diversions which will be taking place towards the end of this year. This will involve a full closure of the road for a full weekend however, blue light services will be escorted through our site.
We will also be digging down next to the A413 and Chiltern Rail line over the Christmas period to prepare the area for future piling works.

A few minutes further north, the Nash Lee team is preparing for the Nash Lee Road and Nash Lee Lane diversions which are due to be operational in February 2023. The temporary realignment will allow us to start work on the permanent realignment of Nash Lee Road which includes a bridge to take traffic over the HS2 line.
We are also completing utility works in the Nash Lee area, this will result in a lane closure on Nash Lee Road from 5 until 23 December. The closure will be in place for 24 hours a day with two-way traffic lights being utilised throughout.
