Foster Care Associates (FCA) Thames Valley step back in time to raise money for Macmillan

Generous staff & carers from Foster Care Associates (FCA) in the Thames Valley region held a 1950’s themed coffee morning, at their Wendover office on Hale Road, to raise £139.34 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Dressed to impress in 1950’s attire fostering services manager Lisa Marshall, was awarded a prize for the best outfit, whilst operations manager Olwyn Skinner, and senior administrator Robert Withers, picked up prizes for their superb baking and cake decorating skills.

The event proved popular not only with our current carers but also with four potential carers who attended the coffee morning, completed their initial enquiries and booked in their first home visit on the day itself!

Kelly Ludlow, marketing co-ordinator for FCA Thames Valley, said: “Our carers and staff could certainly give the contestants on The Great British Bake Off a run for their money! The effort everyone put into the coffee morning was incredible, and as well as raising money for Macmillan it proved to be a great social event for all those involved with Foster Care Associates in the region. A massive thank you to all who were involved in making the day so successful.”
