Festive fun comes to Aylesbury!

Santa’s Sunday Spectacular on 21 November launches the festivities in Aylesbury this year.

Organised by the Aylesbury Town Centre Partnership, it will start at noon with a colourful and vibrant parade made up of professional acts, local businesses and non-profit organisations – all lead by Fantastic Mr Fox! They’ll make their way around the town centre with musical entertainment throughout, lasting around an hour via the Hale Leys loading bay, along the High Street and into Market Square. Look out for Father Christmas in his open top classic Tourer car too!

After the parade, there will be an enticing range of street food along with a small fun fair, go karts, character meet and greets, face painting, magic, arts and crafts. In addition, a variety of fantastic street entertainers will keep the crowds in a festive spirit.

There will also be free roller-skating activities in Kingsbury along with a free snow globe outside the One4Six café in Hale Leys for all the family to enjoy. This specific activity has been kindly sponsored by Hale Leys Shopping Centre.

At 4pm until 4:30pm, visitors can join in with carol singing around the Christmas tree in the town centre outside HSBC for the Christmas tree light up.

The government’s Welcome Back Fund has helped support this year’s event.

Gareth Williams, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Planning and Regeneration, said:

“Whether you like shopping, eating, live entertainment or – just catching an early glimpse of Santa! – then be sure to come along this Sunday to Aylesbury town centre. It’s going to be a fantastic day of fun for all the family.”

On Sunday 5 December, the Christmas Craft & Gift Fair in Market Square will provide lots of opportunities to purchase unusual gifts along with a great range of street food and music entertainment.
