Find out all you want to know about Fostering with Bucks

We are holding a Fostering Information Session in High Wycombe next month and inviting all those who are interested in fostering or simply want to find out more to come along. It’s the easiest way to find out all there is to know about fostering with Buckinghamshire County Council.

The event takes place on:

  • Wednesday 3 October at The Hub in High Wycombe, HP11 1NJ, 7pm to 9pm

The event offers a great chance to find out in more detail what is involved in becoming a foster carer with Buckinghamshire County Council. You can speak to our recruitment team, ask questions and also hear from some of our current foster carers.

Councillor Warren Whyte, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services said: “If you are thinking about becoming a foster carer you are bound to have hundreds of questions in your head about the whole recruitment process and what being a foster carer really involves day to day.

These sessions are the ideal place to get answers to those questions in a friendly and informal environment. We aren’t expecting people to sign on the dotted line on the night, we just want to ensure they are given all the information they need in order to make their decision in their own time.”

Foster carers with Buckinghamshire County Council benefit from outstanding training and support and a generous allowance and always being our first choice for placements.

Even if fostering isn’t something you want to do personally, do you know someone who could? Please tell themto come along or find more information on our website: www.buckscc.gov.uk/fostering
