First residents move into new Wavendon development

The first residents are settling into their homes at a new housing development on the edge of Wavendon, as construction work continues.

Bellway is building 168 homes at Wavendon Chase, which is located off Newport Road, around a mile north of the village.

The development comprises a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses and one and two-bedroom apartments, with 50 of the homes being provided as affordable housing for shared ownership or rent.

A total of 26 houses have been sold off-plan since the development launched. Four of these have now been completed and handed over to their new owners, while a further two properties have been finished and opened as showhomes.

A third showhome, The Chandler, is due to be opened at the end of February, while the first apartments have just been released for sale. Showhomes are viewable by appointment only, with strict safety measures in place.

Bellway expects to complete construction work on the site by the end of next year.
