From the Buckmoorend Farm Shop Kitchen

Buckmoorend Farm Shop on the Chequers Estate make a super-tasty range of home-cooked foods for you to enjoy direct from their farm kitchen. Sausage Rolls include Chilli & Garlic, Rebellion Ale & Chorizo, Simply Pork – and many more – with Pork Pies, Scotch Eggs and seasonal quiches too. There are ready meals every week – Lamb Tagine is a particular favourite, and Pork Goulash (Steph’s favourite), Sausage Casserole and traditional favourites like Steak & Kidney Pie (Daniel’s top choice). All are made with their own home reared meats and slow cooked for extra flavour and to melt in the mouth.

Stephanie cooks all day on Tuesdays – the farm shop is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am – and it seems husband Daniel pops back home from the farm more often on that day! The secret ingredient is their own home reared meat of course – the rest is just good, wholesome, nutritious, home-cooked food. Lots of customers use them to stock up their freezers.

The new deli foods and ready meals have proved incredibly popular with customers and often sell out straight off the cooling racks, and the local pub now even boasts a self-appointed Buckmoorend Farm Shop pie taster!
