Give your views on designs for new Winslow sports hub
Buckinghamshire Council has unveiled exciting design options for the new sports hub planned for Winslow and wants to hear local views on the proposals.
Following community consultations, new visuals have been developed which show the proposals for the site located on Redfield Farm which include:
- A multi-use games area (MUGA)
- A skatepark
- Three tennis courts
- 3G football pitch
- Grass rugby pitch
- A building for community and social use
- 3 hectares of green, open, recreational space
- 4km of pathways (1.8km of these being hard surface)
Detailed plans are now available to view until 21 December at Winslow Library and also online.
A formal consultation with residents, businesses, the Town Council and other local groups will take place as part of the planning application process for the sports hub over the coming months.
John Chilver, Cabinet Member for Finance, Resources, Property and Assets said: “With this project we can make a huge investment in Winslow and create something really special for local residents.
“The pandemic has inevitably meant some delays, but we are back on track and looking forward to working with the local community to develop an exciting and ambitious planning application for these new facilities that will enhance life for local people.”
The sports hub project would need to be cross-funded by other development plans which are currently being worked on.
