Grab a jab at High Wycombe Library’s drop-in COVID vaccination clinics this week

Whether you’re an avid reader or not, Wycombe Library is well worth a visit for anyone in need of a Covid jab this week – drop-in vaccination clinics will be running there on Friday and Saturday.

The clinic will be operating at the Library at Eden Place in High Wycombe’s Eden Shopping Centre (HP11 2DH) at the following times:

  • Friday, 16 July – 9am to 5pm
  • Saturday, 17 July – 10am to 4pm

It will be offering first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine to anyone aged 18-39 who needs them – please make sure you have left a gap of at least 8 weeks in between doses.

There is no need to book – simply turn up on the day to get your jab.

With more restrictions set to lift on Monday, 19 July, it is more important than ever that as many people as possible take the opportunity to get their vaccine this weekend. Getting your jab – whether first or second – is the best way to stay safe and protect those around you.

The clinics at Wycombe Library will be run by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, which also operates the Guttmann Vaccination Centre at Stoke Mandeville Stadium.

Tehmeena Ajmal, Oxford Health’s Covid Operations Director, said: “If you are aged 18 or over and still need a Covid jab, please come along to the drop-in clinic at Wycombe Library this week.

“By letting people simply walk into these clinics without needing to book first, we hope they will see how quick and easy it is to get their jab.

“And with restrictions easing next week, it is just as vital to get your jab now as it was on day one. It you are aged 18 and over, please make sure you get your vaccine at one of the available clinics as soon as possible.”

  • If you are aged 18-39 and need a Pfizer vaccine dose, walk in clinics are also available at The Guttmann Centre at Stoke Mandeville Stadium every day this week until Sunday, 18 July, from 9.30am to 7.30pm. Again, there is no need to book – simply turn up and grab a jab.
  • And remember, you can book a vaccination this weekend at a number of other sites across Buckinghamshire via the National Booking Service at https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/ or by calling 119.
