Grass Roots reveals new bubbly vans running on “elec-trickery”
Grass Roots, the world’s leading provider of employee and customer engagement solutions, has today revealed newly branded electric vans are to be used by members of their facilities team.
Two Renault Kangoo ZE vehicles have had the new Grass Roots “bubbly” brand applied in the form of vinyl wraps with high impact and vibrant results. Running purely on electricity, the vans produce no carbon emissions and no noise pollution. Grass Roots’ refreshed brand treatment, utilising brightly coloured circles and illustrative imagery, cleverly covers both vehicles – with the cheeky slogan on the back: “I run on elec-trickery” – to raise a few smiles and exhibit the light tone of voice and sense of humour synonymous with the company values and people.
This is the first time electric vehicles have been used at Grass Roots. With significant savings in the cost of fuel each month and a reduced carbon footprint, the move to ‘electric’ supports the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and complements a huge range of green initiatives which the organisation undertakes both in the UK and globally.
The Kangoo ZE was selected by Grass Roots’ Fleet Manager, Ian Metcalf, following extensive research. The model won International Van of the Year in 2012 and its 100 mile range was an important factor in the decision. Metcalf comments, “The vans meet all our requirements and also look good – especially with the fantastic branding! Renault’s service throughout the transaction, ongoing support and the quality of this product, made them stand out as our top choice.”
Charging points have been installed at the headquarters office at Pennyroyal Court in Tring and at another local office on the other side of the town. A third charging station is to be fitted at the Triangle Business Park location soon. Both vans will be utilised by the facilities team who cover the three sites in the Tring and Wendover area.
John Bunting, Chief Commercial Officer, is delighted with the look of the vehicles and with the green credentials they will enforce, “The vans look brilliant! The colourful bubbly brand treatment has had a great reception from clients, suppliers and employees all around the world, and now we can proudly show off our fun-loving and energetic people and brand really effectively. Grass Roots is one of the biggest employers in the local area and the vans will certainly be easy to spot – whether you’ve heard of Grass Roots yet or not.”
