Groups invited to apply for funding support

Voluntary, charity, faith and community groups in Buckinghamshire will shortly be able to apply for a Community Prevention Grant for next year (2021-22).

The Community Prevention Grant fund is provided by Buckinghamshire Council and is available to community groups and organisations  towards projects that enable adults within Buckinghamshire to live in their own homes, leading independent and fulfilling lives for as long as possible.

The window for applications for next year’s grant fund will open on 2 November and close on 2 December. Applications are invited from groups and organisations across the county delivering a variety of projects.

A series of webinars will be held for groups and organisations to find out more about the funding and how to submit an application. The one hour webinars take place on:

  • Monday 26 October, 10am
  • Tuesday 27 October, 1pm
  • Monday 2 November, 11am

Angela Macpherson, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care said: “We know there are many valued and well used community projects and initiatives across Buckinghamshire that many of our residents rely upon. We are committed to helping our older and vulnerable residents to live contentedly and independently within their local community for as long as possible. It is what residents want and we want to support groups and organisations who help make that happen.”
