Inquiry into Proposed Development at Halton Lane
Local residents are very upset that a field near a very sensitive ecological site has received yet another planning application. Several have been turned down in the past by AVDC.
To understand that this field is on the boundary of Wendover and Weston Turville, it's probably best to enter it via the gate near the World's End Bus Stops, not far from The Village Gate.
Before even entering the field proper, it is clear to see that this field is a vital gap between Weston Turville and Wendover.
This path goes straight across the field towards the footpath surrounding Weston Turville Reservoir.
To get to the reservoir footpath it is necessary to cross a stream This stream is known to FLOOD which is why the field has been declared unsuitable for building in the past.
Crossing over the little bridge, a sign alerts walkers to the Nature Reserve.
The Weston Turville circular footpath can also be entered via Halton Lane.
Once again, the Nature Reserve is clearly marked.
Some parts of this nature reserve are so sensitive that members of the public are banned for the benefit of the local ecosystem.
This part of the WT reservoir footpath allows views of the Coombe Hill monument.
