Halton’s Budding Supermodels take to the Floor
Budding supermodels took to the floor one evening recently to model outfits from the Travelling Trends Fashion Company who sell discounted high street fashions. The event took place at the Trinity Community Centre (TCC) at RAF Halton.
Ten volunteer models of all ages and sizes modelled the clothing, the youngest model being Emilee Kinsey, 17, to the more mature model, Pat Dodds, (and we are much too polite to give away her age)!! The volunteer models consisted of Station personnel who were ladies from PSF, wives, and a daughter of serving personnel
Travelling Trends Fashion Company was discovered by Flight Sergeant Ellie Wileen, Station Community Support Officer (SCSO) who had previously modelled for them a number of years ago whilst running a fashion show at RAF Stanbridge.
Ellie said: “It was a very successful evening, which raised a total of £600 to be shared between Station Charities and Children with Cancer. Some of the local community donated raffle prizes which helped raise more money for the charities. Travelling Trends brought a large selection of high Street fashions sold at massive discount prices on the evening. Those that stayed after the fashion show were entertained by a Karaoke. It was a lovely relaxed evening with a great atmosphere and there was some very positive feedback with a number of ladies requesting another fashion show to be arranged in the new year to allow them to buy summer collections.”
Pat Dodds said: “I thoroughly enjoyed myself, I was a little bit nervous to start with but soon started to feel more comfortable even when modelling pyjamas.”
