Have your say on future for minerals and waste

The blueprint for the future of mineral prospecting and waste management in Buckinghamshire gets another airing on two specific aspects among residents, stakeholders and operators starting this week(from February 11) for six weeks.

The Minerals and Waste Local Plan for the next 20 years aims to ensure a steady and adequate supply of aggregates, and forecasts future waste management needs, taking account of growth set out in the district local plans.

Following the two public consultations, an Examination in Public by a Government inspector in September 2018 and a previous consultation on the changes to the plan, the County Council is required to undertake a further consultation specifically on two of the modifications already proposed – MM14 and MM19.

This consultation provides greater clarity on the County Council’s approach to one of the modifications for waste management across Buckinghamshire, and to the future location of waste management sites.

Now the County Council wants everyone to have their say on these changes to the plan by 12 noon on Monday,March 25. All the relevant documents are available to view at www.buckscc.gov.uk/RMWLP.

During this consultation, only comments on the two modifications will be valid. All representations received during the previous consultation have been accepted and submitted to the Inspector for his consideration.
