Health on the Move van back on the road in Bucks to deliver more COVID vaccines
The Health on the Move van is back in Buckinghamshire next week and will be bringing COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters to Chesham, Buckingham, Aylesbury and Gerrards Cross.
If you are eligible for a booster vaccination but have not yet had one, now is the time to do it – the Health on the Move van makes getting your jab as convenient as possible. So far it has delivered more than 1600 doses of the vaccine across Bucks in the last four months.
If you have the chance to visit the van, please don’t delay.
For anyone who has not yet had their first or second vaccination dose, the evergreen offer remains open and you are welcome to visit the van.
These drop-in mobile clinics will be offering doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
NHS guidance is to leave a gap of at least eight weeks between vaccination doses and, if you are eligible for a booster, you must leave six months (182 days) between your second dose and your booster vaccination.
The van, which is run by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, will be at these locations:
- Wednesday, 17 November, 10am – 3pm, Chesham Market, High Street, HP5 1BW
- Thursday, 18 November, 10am – 3pm, Tesco Buckingham, London Rd, MK18 1AB
- Friday, 19 November, 10am – 4pm, Southcourt Baptist Church, 40 Penn Road, Aylesbury, HP21 8HW
- Saturday, 20 November, 10am – 3pm, Tesco Gerrards Cross, Packhorse Road, SL9 8ER
Please note – all dates and venues may be subject to last minute scheduling changes, so please check here for the latest updates.
The van will be back in Bucks the following week and details of times and locations will be confirmed on the website above.
If you have not yet had your booster or your first or second vaccination and cannot, or are not eligible to, attend any of the mobile drop-in clinics, you can instead book your appointment at: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/ or call 119 for free.
Appointments are now available for anyone aged 16+, and healthy 12–15-year-olds can also get vaccinated by booking online or attending a walk-in clinic without appointment.
You can find out the latest updates on walk-in vaccination clinics in Buckinghamshire – which are now vaccinating young people aged 16-17 and 12-15 year olds by clicking here.
