Help local charity fill in the gaps
Have you ever been involved with Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity since it launched in the 1980s? Could you help them with their charity history project?
The charity is tidying up its archive of press cutting and photos and needs some help identifying faces and fundraisers, particularly from the 1990s and 2000s.
Bonnie Doe, Marketing Manager at the charity says, “We have some fantastic photos of our supporters and their fundraising activities, from the very beginning in the 1980s, right through the 1990s and into this century. But we have very few names, and not much information about the events themselves and we desperately don’t want to lose the valuable history of the charity. We would love to hear stories from the early years of the hospice and the charity and make sure these are captured for posterity.”
The charity will be holding two Open History days this summer on from 10am – 2.30pm on Tuesday 2nd and Friday 5th August at their offices on Walton Street in Aylesbury, which will include displays of some of their favourite memories over the years, including the original In Memory books.
