Historic Aylesbury building heralds new chapter for your business and working needs
Specially created, affordable work spaces designed for professionals, business owners and commuters are now available for short-term rental right in the heart of bustling Aylesbury.
The building was formerly occupied by Bucks Business First, and since their departure the County Council have undertaken refurbishment works and updated the facilities in Porters Lodge, the historic Grade II listed building next to the Judges Lodgings, to include a variety of meeting rooms, offices and hot-desking arrangements to suit the demands of today’s busy professionals and entrepreneurs.
The building is designed to be comfortable, flexible and suitable for a wide variety of uses – from small businesses needing a local base, to those seeking to avoid the distractions of working from home or a time-consuming commute. Rooms can be booked for a single day or up to a month’s duration and come complete with refreshment facilities and Wi-Fi access. It is ideally situated next to the new Exchange development, local shops and offices. There are nearby car parks and the bus and train station.
Buckinghamshire County Council Cabinet Member for Resources, John Chilver said he was delighted to see that local people could benefit from the next chapter in the history of the iconic building.
“We designed these new facilities to help support business owners, commuters and remote workers get on with their busy lives and develop their business interests, and all within such a magnificent, historic environment.
“We all work differently now and with new technology, traditional office environments are no longer the norm. These facilities offer something different – flexible and affordable arrangements to meet a wide variety of commercial and business requirements – essential in a developing, cosmopolitan town like Aylesbury is today.”
John added, “It’s really for local people to see how they could best benefit. For example, with a daily hot-desking space starting from just £15, that’s less than half the price of a peak-time rail ticket to London – so just think how much time, money and stress you could be saving by booking into Porters Lodge?”
“However you think you can benefit, please get in touch and we look forward to discussing your requirements.”
Indemnity insurance will be required in order to rent a space and bookings are taken on a first-come-first-serve basis. Rooms are available weekdays from 7.30am to 7.00pm.
