HS2 Community Engagement Strategy refreshed

Having listened to feedback from communities and stakeholders, we have refreshed our Community Engagement Strategy. ‘Respecting People, Respecting Places‘ highlights how we will always try to do the right thing and reduce disruption to the lives of local people as much as we can during the planning and building of the railway.

We will:

  • tell you what we are going to do and when
  • let you know if things change and,
  • if we get something wrong, we will listen to you and do our best to make it right

We will engage with you by:

  • Informing: Keeping you updated on issues that affect your area
  • Involving: Involving you in opportunities as we plan and build HS2
  • Responding: Listening to you and helping with your questions and concerns
  • Consulting: Formally consult with you while we seek permission to build Phase 2b (we now have permission to build Phase One and Phase 2a)

Respecting People, Respecting Places also contains updated information about our commitments to you, and how to get in touch with us with any questions or for more information about the project in your area.

Complaints process updated

We know that building HS2 will affect the lives of thousands of people. We need many other companies to do work on our behalf and we all aim to respect people impacted by the construction of the new railway.

If you’re unhappy about anything we do, or about anything another company does on our behalf, please tell us and we will treat this as a complaint.

We have refreshed our process to make sure your complaint is dealt with by the right person, as quickly as possible. Please follow this process to help us get the best result for you.
