Wendover HS2 action group

The Transport Secretary, Justine Greening, has announced that a public consultation on the compensation scheme for people whose properties are affected by HS2 has been delayed until the autumn. In a written statement to Parliament Ms Greening reminded MPs that she had promised a generous compensation package for those affected, which went above the minimum required by law, and stated that it is imperative that the right package is put in place.

Volunteers needed

Antony Chapman, Treasurer of the Wendover HS2 action group, is setting up a small fund-raising committee, and needs volunteers. If you are interested please contact him, either by phone on 01296 623730 or by email at chap@halevalley.wanadoo.co.uk. Funds are needed for day-to-day local campaigning activities, as well as to help finance the national campaign against HS2.
