HS2 Works Notification: Abnormal load deliveries to Aylesbury requiring traffic management along A41
We’re writing to let you know about some planned works that we will be carrying out in your area.
In preparation for the main construction phase of the A41 realignment, we will soon begin receiving deliveries of pre-cast concrete beams. These beams will form parts of the bridge which will carry the A41 over the top of the HS2 trace.
Some of these beams will be up to 30m in length and therefore will be classed as abnormal loads which means that we must ensure we are delivering them safely with the appropriate amount of traffic
management if required.
We will be carrying out a trial run on Monday 7 November from 8pm to determine that we have in place the best possible route for the delivery of the concrete beams
On 5 December from 8pm – We anticipate the deliveries for the concrete beams to commence.
We will continue to receive deliveries intermittently through to 2025 as we progress with the structures in the area.
Wherever possible, we will minimise the impact on all highway users by co-ordinating deliveries to avoid peak traffic times and will work with the haulier to provide the best possible routes to site.
