HS2 Works Notification: Aylesbury and Quainton temporary traffic management

We’re writing to let you know about some planned works that we will be carrying out in your area.

 

Aylesbury – A418 Oxford Road, road repairs

Much needed road repairs on the A418 will take place in Saturday 23 April from 8.00am to 1.00pm

In order to carry out these repairs safely, temporary traffic management in the form of a lane closure, with two-way traffic lights, will be introduced.

Should we be unable to conduct these works due to circumstances outside of our control such as weather, we may also need traffic management measures in the following weeks.

Quainton – Road closure, Station Road

In late April and early May, we will be carrying out Ground Investigation (GI) works along Station Road.

As this work will take place close to the local highway, we will need to close small sections of Station Road.

We will be conducting these works over three separate weekends to avoid closing all of Station Road and maintain access to local businesses and the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, with a local diversion route signposted.

A section of Station Road will be closed on the following dates:

  • Saturday 23 April and Sunday 24 April 2022, 8.00am to 6.00pm.
  • Saturday 7 May and Sunday 8 May, 8.00am to 6.00pm.
  • One further weekend in May, once these dates have been confirmed we will issue an update for communities.
