HS2 Works Notification: Chiltern Tunnel North Portal site set up South Heath

We’re writing to let you know about some  planned works that we will be carrying out in your area.

Chiltern Tunnel North Portal: site set up

We are starting to prepare the North Portal site at South Heath for the arrival of the tunnel boring machines (TBMs) in December 2023. These works will begin in October through to December for our full site set up, starting with preparing the site ready for our offices. We will also be constructing internal roads, connecting into utilities, and moving spoil (soil) prior to the construction works starting in the new year. The existing internal haul road that is accessed via the A413 / Link Road roundabout is our dedicated route that will accommodate all of our construction traffic.
