HS2 Works Notification: Lane closure, Rocky Lane

We’re writing to let you know about some planned works that we will be carrying out in your area.

To allow us to provide a water supply to Rocky Lane Compound, we need to put a lane closure in place 24 hours a day between Monday 12 December and Friday 16 December; this is to carry out connection works to the existing Thames Water main that is buried below Rocky Lane carriageway. This will help to reduce the number of vehicles delivering to the site.

There will be grass cutting operations in the verge to ensure an accurate survey is achieved. The water connection process involves excavating at the location of the water main and tapping into the main.

The water supply to adjacent properties will not be affected during these works. Once complete, the excavations will be backfilled and carriageway resurfaced as required.

To ensure these works are completed safely we will need to implement two-way traffic lights on Rocky Lane to allow our team to move where needed on the road. The lane closure will be in place .

These dates are subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control. Should we finish the works early, the lane closures will be removed.

To continue these works there will be future lane closures, details of these will be communicated in due course.
