HS2 Works Notification: Princes Risborough to Aylesbury railway

We’re writing to let you know about some planned works that we will be carrying out in your area.

In mid-December we will be carrying out overnight works to complete the train platforms ahead of deliveries in January.

From early January 2022, we will begin receiving overnight deliveries of material. These deliveries are anticipated to continue to May 2022. Each night, a train will arrive from the north at approximately midnight and depart in a southernly direction by 7.00am.

It is estimated, all of the overnight deliveries expected between January and May will have transported in total approximately 200,000 tonnes of material by rail, helping keep up to 10,000 HGV deliveries off the local road networks.

For reasons of safety, we can only work when there are no trains running on the line, therefore these works will take place overnight. To help reduce disruption to the community, vehicles and plant machinery will be fitted with effective exhaust silencers where possible.
