HS2 Works Notification: Public Right of Way closures, Preston Bissett and Twyford

We’re writing to let you know about some planned works that we will be carrying out in your area. 

As our part of our continued preparatory works, we will be temporarily closing some footpaths in the Preston Bissett and Twyford areas.

We will shortly begin excavating and moving earth with large plant and machinery. This is in preparation for the construction of the Twyford embankment as well as the Godington east culvert, which will allow water to pass under our site access road. These works will cross the following footpaths:

• PBI/9/3
• PB1/5/7
• PBI/6/2
• TWY/16/1
• TWY/17/1
• TWY/18/2

For the safety of pedestrians and our staff, we must fully close these footpaths for the duration of our works. Signage on the footpaths will indicate the closure.

Footpaths PBI/9/3, PB1/5/7, PBI/6/2 will be fully closed, 24 hours a day, week commencing Monday 18 April 2022, for approximately four years.

Footpaths TWY/16/1 and TWY/17/1 will be fully closed, 24 hours a day, from Monday 2 May 2022, for approximately four years.
