HS2 Works Notification: Road closure, Claydon Road near Lower Boddington, Northamptonshire
We’re writing to let you know about some planned works that we will be carrying out in your area.
Following on from our preparatory works for our internal haul road we will close a section of Claydon Road, near Lower Boddington for approximately two weeks.
Where our haul road crosses Claydon Road, we will create a strengthened surface using concrete to ensure that we protect the road and any utilities underneath it. It may also be necessary to remove localised areas of vegetation to enable future works to continue and to allow access to areas of our site. An internal haul road will provide a dedicated access route for our heavy construction vehicles and significantly reduce our impacts on the local highway.
As the works will require large plant and machinery and time for concrete to set, we are required to fully close this section of road, 24 hours per day, until the works are complete.
Claydon Road will be fully closed, 24 hours a day, from Monday 7 February to Monday 21 February, with a diversion in place.
We will work to open the roads to reduce disruption as soon as possible.
