HS2 Works Notification: Temporary road closure, A413, Wendover

We’re writing to let you know about some planned works that we will be carrying out in your area.

As part of our preparatory and enabling works, we need to excavate and protect a Thames Water, water main on the A413 London Road, near Rocky Lane.

In order to complete these works, we will need to close the southbound carriageway and introduce traffic management in the form of temporary two-way traffic lights. These traffic lights will be operational for 24 hours a day during our works.

Prior to work commencing, a concrete barrier will be temporarily installed to protect our work force as they will be working directly on the carriageway. In order to install and remove the concrete barrier, there will be a full road closure from 8pm the Friday and Sunday nights
on the weekends being worked.

Once the barrier is installed, we will introduce traffic management in the form of temporary two-way traffic lights. These traffic lights will be operational for 24 hours a day during our weekend works.

To reduce disruption as much as possible, we will also utilise these temporary road closures to remove large plant and machinery from our construction site along the A413.

We plan to start these works from Friday 21 January to Monday 7 February.

The barriers will remain in place throughout each weekend and will be removed by 6.00am Monday morning. Works will take place Saturdays and Sundays from 8.00am to 8.00pm.

We will work to open the roads to reduce disruption as soon as possible.

These dates may be subject to change, are dependent on weather conditions and other factors outside of our control.
