HS2 Works Notification: Temporary road closure, Mixbury
We’re writing to let you know about some planned works that we will be carrying out in your area.
As part of our continued preparatory works for our internal haul and access roads we will need to fully close Featherbed Lane, also known as Fulwell Lane, for approximately one week in January, with a local diversion route in place. These works will involve the completion of the internal haul road and construction of a passing bay that will be needed to operate the crossing.
As the works will require large plant and machinery and time for concrete to set, we are required to fully close these sections of road, 24 hours a day, until they are complete. This is for the safety of road users and our staff.
A section of Featherbed Lane, will be closed from Monday 10 January for approximately one week and for approximately two days in early February for asphalting works. We will work to open the roads as soon as possible on both closures to reduce disruption.
Once the crossing point is created, the road will then be reopened, with gates in place to keep local traffic separated from construction traffic.
