HS2 Works Notification; Traffic Management update, A418, Oxford Road
We’re writing to let you know about some planned works that we will be carrying out in your area.
As part of our continued preparatory works, it is necessary to create a break from highway on the A418 Oxford Road. There will be temporary traffic management while these works are completed.
On Saturdays, our works site located within the Aylesbury Golf Course, will be receiving deliveries of stone for the construction of our site access road. For reasons of safety, traffic management will also be in place on Saturdays to facilitate these deliveries into late February.
It is anticipated that there will be some future works carried out by UKPN in early spring. We are liaising with UKPN to further understand their programme and requirements. As always, we will continue to update communities once further information is available.
Traffic management is expected to be in place until mid-February. To reduce disruption as much as possible, traffic management will only be introduced off peak between the hours of 9.00am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday, however, works are also expected to take place on Saturdays from 8.00am to 1.00pm.
As a contingency, should we be unable to conduct these works due to circumstances outside of our control such as weather, we may also need extend traffic management measures in the following weeks.
