HUNDREDS JOIN THEATRE’S 5th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS WITH FLASH SALE
Over 300 theatregoers joined Aylesbury Waterside Theatre to celebrate the venue’s 5th Birthday on Monday 12 October, and to take advantage of an exclusive Flash Sale offering £5 tickets to many shows including Priscilla Queen of The Desert, Rocky Horror Show, The Glenn Miller Story and this year’s sparkling pantomime Dick Whittington. The queue started at 8am with the Box Office serving a constant stream of customers until 4.30pm.
Hot drinks were sold and delivered to patrons in the queue as the allocation of nearly 1000 discounted tickets were purchased. The theatre also spoke to their highest attending customer, Mr Clive Ashby, who to date has seen over 150 shows from West End musicals to brand new drama productions and one night touring shows. Mr Ashby has been presented with a pair of tickets to a new season show as a gesture of thanks for his continued loyalty.
Deputy General Manager, Simon Maples said:
‘We were overwhelmed by the turnout of theatregoers keen to join us to celebrate our fifth birthday. We are delighted so that many patrons snapped up tickets for forthcoming shows and look forward to welcoming them over the upcoming season. Birthdays are a time for reflection, and we feel proud to have had a wonderful five years of world-class entertainment in Aylesbury. I’d like to thank our patrons far and wide for their ongoing support, and look forward to celebrating many more years full of shows, events and magical memories.’
