John Colet School Anti-Bullying Week

On Friday 28 November students and staff demonstrated their commitment to eliminating bullying behaviour in our school community by wearing a blue accessory to school. The national ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ campaign is a good time for us to ensure students are familiar with our anti-bullying policy in school and to ensure all members of the school community know how to act if they are aware of bullying behaviours. Lots of form classes spent time discussing issues around bullying in registration periods and Heads of Year delivered assemblies around the theme.

Please can I remind parents that a copy of our Anti-Bullying Policy can be found on the school website. Thank you to Lorna E in Year 13 for taking photographs of the event and a big ‘thank you’ and ‘well done’ to everyone who wore something blue in support of this important campaign. Year 7 students entered a poster competition and Sixth Form students judged nearly 80 excellent entries. The winning design was created by Daniella H in 7G. The winner and runners up prizes will be presented in assembly very soon.
