Little Acorns Kindergarten is 25!

Little Acorns Kindergarten is celebrating 25 years in September this year!

Little Acorns was opened in 1990 by a group of parents, in the Wendover Youth Centre. We moved to a purpose built facility in June 2011 which includes a large playroom, Quiet Room, fully equipped kitchen, outside area and children’s toilets. We have evolved through the many changes in Early Years education over the years and continue to prosper with full waiting lists. Our dedicated team of qualified staff provide a happy and safe learning environment for the children.

For many children, starting pre-school is the first big step towards independence. You therefore would want your child to be in the best possible setting to achieve this. By choosing ‘Little Acorns’, you can be assured of a happy, stimulating and safe environment for your child.

Our aim is to provide a wide range of activities and experiences that encourage children to make progress in their development and learning at their own pace. We aim to provide opportunities for all children to succeed in a caring atmosphere where everyone is equally valued. Children learn in many different ways and at ‘Little Acorns’ we provide a range of opportunities to deepen their understanding. These include playing, observing, investigating, talking, listening, reflecting and responding to adults and to each other.

Little Acorns Kindergarten prides itself on developing strong ties with their families and promote working in partnership with parents. Our last Ofsted commented “Children make good progress in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Staff have built excellent partnerships with parents and share good partnerships with other professionals involved with the children. The manager and staff are committed to developing the provision for children. They demonstrate a good capacity for improvement”
