Lauren’s Lockdown 2.0 Survival Guide
Hello, I’m Lauren, a passionate and experienced relationship advisor and coach to women, men, couples, families and friends. I have witnessed the effects of the pandemic on people’s lives and want to help as many of you as I can from my SafeSpace studio in Wendover. We can talk together over a secure video call or on a 1 to 1 walking route to help navigate you through life personally and within your relationships with confidence, empowering you to unleash your happiness.
I understand that everyone’s personal and family life are individual to them, so I have put together my survival starter kit for lockdown 2.0 and beyond. Enlist any of the following to begin with and you can build on them as you feel able.
- OBJECTIVES –Set these on a Sunday to start your week on a positive note keeping present and focused on the week ahead.
- ROUTINE- Have a daily one and try to follow it e.g. set an alarm, make your bed, wash, get dressed and have a fresh lemon water to kick start your digestive system.
- MANAGE YOUR DAY – Section your day (into morning, afternoon and evening) include one action that makes you feel good in each of them.
- ME TIME- this is essential, make time for YOU as and how you need it.
- COMMUNICATE- Speak to someone and tell them how you’re feeling, what is and isn’t working for you. You shouldn’t feel alone.
- EXERCISE – this has a huge impact on mental health, just a short walk in the fresh air can change your mindset.
- NOURISHMENT –Try to cut out as much of the junk and ‘easy options’ as possible, these contribute to you feeling low and unmotivated. Spend the time cooking, experimenting and getting creative. Make sure you have a treat though!
- FAMILY TIME – Set aside an hour a day at least for devoted family time to bring the household back together. This will be of great benefit to your children too.
- ROMANCE- Diarise a weekly date night, alternating the cook and the pot washer, keep it fun and interesting… who said romance was dead?
- FUN – play games, laugh, dance, sing, play music, tell jokes- all are free to do and build moral and promote happiness for yourself and within your home.
