Leading property developer offers Buckinghamshire property seekers a touch of interior deign inspiration
Five brand new Barratt and David Wilson show homes which recently opened at the Kingsbrook development in Aylesbury are offering local homebuyers the very latest interior design inspiration.
These show homes provide house hunters with a look at the quality and style of Barratt and David Wilson homes. They will also offer inspiration for homebuyers on how to give their own homes the designer touch, such as colour schemes, layouts and furniture.
The Barratt show homes include the Padstow, Barwick and Morpeth style homes, whilst the David Wilson show homes include the Greenwood and Layton style homes. The recently launched properties are now available to view at the development located on Aylesbury Road on an appointment only basis.
The interiors of the Barratt show homes were designed by Show Business Interiors, and the David Wilson show homes were designed by Blocc Interiors.
Tristan Evans, Group Business Development Director at Show Business Interiors, commented on the Barratt show homes: “The different layouts of the show homes allowed for an approach that show cased the wide range of current design trends that constitute ‘contemporary living’. This in turn highlighted the variety of living space options available to perspective purchasers.
“The colour scheme we used in the Morpeth were clays toned with muted blues and greys, as a backdrop to a mix of warm metallics with geometric structure. In the Barwick we settled on warm ochres crisped up with blacks and whites, with a mix of natural woods and modern veneers in the furniture to create a sense of calm and space. In the Padstow, we used rich aqua and gold to contrast the neutrals.
“The area itself very much drove the design. We wanted to highlight the locations combination of readily available natural surroundings allowing purchasers to connect with the environment, alongside the ease of modern amenities in the town.”
The Padstow is a three storey three bedroom house. Both the Morpeth and Barwick are three bedroom semi-detached houses.
Dawn Kitchener, Managing Director at Blocc Interiors, said: “We know how popular the Layton style home is and therefore we wanted to design it as a super family home that is both practical and functional, whilst adding an element of luxury. We know the Greenwood is sought after by the young purchaser, so we designed the home with this in mind. It has a more contemporary design, with a touch of retro edge.
“The colour scheme at the Layton was neutral greys with some dark ink blue and charcoal that added definition. The Greenwood was designed to be light and neutral. We used pale aqua and mustard yellow to contrast the cream and whites.
“Kingsbrook is a large development, so we were aware to make the houses functional and real. We actually designed the homes before the lockdown period, and they have since come into their own. We really wanted to reflect the area, good quality with knowledge of current design content.”
The Greenwood is a three double bedroom home, and the Layton is a four double bedroom home.
Karly Williams, Sales Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Thames said: “Our show homes offer a vital visual tool for buyers to see the layout and practicality of a home style, alongside the high specification of the build.
“The new generation of buyers now expect to be impressed by the presentation of the Show Home, which can provide inspiration for those looking for the ideal blank-canvas from which to build their home.
“We advise potential property seekers to book an appointment with the sales team to visit the new properties.”
