Wendover Community Library Charity Golf Day

For the last two years Wendover Community Library has held a Charity Golf Day to raise funds for its continued improvement and maintenance. This has always been a very enjoyable event and has helped to raise considerable additional funding towards this valuable and successful community hub withinthe village. In fact I am sure that you will have noticed thatthe last few months has seensubstantial improvements to the front of the building and the gardens through the actions of FOWL (theFriends of Wendover Library).

I am pleased to tell you that we will be holding our Golf Day again this year at Whiteleaf Golf Club, near Princes Risborough, and the date for the event is Thursday 15th September. The format will be the same asprevious years with teams of 4 playing in an 18 hole stableford competition. The cost will be £37.50 per person which includes a 2 course meal after the match, and prizes.

If you are a golfer and would like to be part of the day, then I would be very pleased to hear from you. Obviously, it would be preferable if you can find a team of four players, but if that is not possible, we can make up teams from individuals who have expressed an interest. I already have a couple of names waiting to beattached to a team ! I can forward the entry forms and details to you on request.

Allmoney raised will contribute to improvementsat our Community Library – so not only do you have an enjoyable day of golf at an excellent course, but your generositywillresult in considerable local benefits.
