Lindengate News – September 2019

Course for young people at Lindengate

Lindengate mental health charity has listened to ideas from local young people and is launching a new FREE service starting on Friday 13th September called #YOUVE. Over the 6 weeks participants will take part in challenges, make natural shelters, forage for food, cook on open fires, learn conservation skills, mindfulness techniques, all with the aim of learning  the 7 skills for employment. Thanks to support from Lindengate’s partners the Chiltern Society and wellbeing coach Matt Rodda.

Over the summer Action4Youth volunteers helped create a ‘Secret Garden’ with a campfire area as a home for the course. Course organiser, Suzanne, says “YOUVE is all about  improving confidence and wellbeing”. If you are a young person over 16 and want to learn new skills or try something new, then #YOUVE is for you!

To book your free place or for more info please contact Suzanne on 01296 622443 or info@lindengate.org.uk.
