Lindengate – September 2022
It’s been an incredible year so far at Lindengate. Our 6 acre site has never looked more stunning, with new areas, including our Heritage Orchard, Forest Walk and Yurt & Gardens, attracting more wildlife & creating additional, biodiverse environments.
We continue to grow (excuse the pun!) our wildflower, plant & tree collections and a wide selection are available to purchase. In addition, our team of expert volunteers work tirelessly to craft hand made wooden items, including wildlife boxes, benches and planters, details of which can be found on our website.
Having recently been awarded the Green Flag Community Award for green spaces, along with our Queens Award for Voluntary Services and Gold Award for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR-A), we are incredibly proud of our team, community of volunteers and supporters, who have helped Lindengate become a multi-award-winning charity.
Our programmes have never been more needed by our community, with a variety of wellbeing programmes, which are all-age, fully-integrated – including our open gardens, free for all, on Wednesdays 4.30 – 7.30pm & Saturdays 1.30 – 4.30pm, Green Volunteens, for 13-18 years, working with our team weekly in our Nature Reserve, and Memory Pathways, for anyone living with dementia or memory loss and their carers.
If you’re looking for that unique venue to hold your special event, whether a birthday afternoon tea or a team meeting, our Yurt & Gardens are available for hire.
Lindengate welcomes new volunteers so if you would like to join a warm and friendly community, meet new friends, working together to support the wellbeing of people and the environment and help us maintain the beautiful 6 acre Lindengate gardens, go to our website, where you’ll find full details of volunteering, our programmes, items for sale & venue hire.
