Local Schools to play Big Part in welcoming Residents to New Buckinghamshire Development

Leading developer David Wilson Homes South Midlands is enlisting the help of school pupils across Bedfordshire to help welcome new residents to its developments with specially designed new home cards.

The ‘Welcome Home’ campaign, which was recently launched, will see hundreds of children in the county take part in the creative competition to design the best card, with the winning entries being printed and sent out to new residents.

The scheme will give residents a warm welcome when moving into their new property and aims to give them more information about the local area.

The theme of the competition for schools is all things home related and the children are encouraged to be as creative as possible and to add in pictures and details about the suburb they live in.

Jason Hearn, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “When residents move into their new homes, we want to ensure they have the biggest welcome possible and really feel like part of the community from the word go.

“Getting young children involved with this project will inspire imaginations and really help us to capture the local areas in and around where we build.

“We look forward to working closely with local primary schools next to our developments over the coming months and seeing the designs in which they produce.”

David Wilson Homes has pledged to run the ‘Welcome Home’ campaign across all of its new and upcoming developments in the area which includes Eagles’ Rest in Milton Keynes.
