Locals and Celebrities enjoy Chiltern View Ice Rink’s Grand Opening

Christmas came early last night as Aylesbury’s Chiltern View Ice Rink officially opened with performances from the UK’s funniest redhead – La Voix – along with Liberty X Singer Michelle Heaton who were joined on stage by Santa visiting with special gifts for the children with his elves and reindeer.  Audiences were treated to a stunning ice performance from two-time Dancing on Ice winner Alex Murphy and had the chance to meet Narnia’s Ice Queen, Mr Tumnus and Santa’s Juggling elves!

The winter wonderland, complete with Sparkling Christmas trees, festive food and drinks and a beautiful ice sculpture saw local families enjoying the entertainment whilst taking a turn on the ice. Spotted in the crowd were local celebrities Kristina Rihanoff and Tony Hadley joining in the festivities with their families.

The Ice rink will be open every day apart from Christmas Day until 10th January, and skaters of all ages can look forward to special live performances and guest appearances from Gareth Gates, Glen Tortolano, The Abba sisters, Kelly O’Brien in The Dolly Show and Alvin – The Ultimate Elvis tribute along with Party nights accompanied by DJ’s Matt Evers and Dan Blaze.  Santa will also be visiting again along with the Grinch!
