Week Eleven of Manor Waste Refurbishment

Wendover Hardware and Lloyds Pharmacy are only accessible from Back Lane Levelling in preparation for the slabs in front of Lloyds Pharmacy The paving on the entrance to Budgens car park is getting wider. Underground services, and making sure they are all ducted sensibly, have held up this part of the refurbishment. The blister paving, which delineates the difference between footpath and road, is nearly finished in the entrance road to Budgens Car Park. The ability to detect contrasts in texture underfoot varies from one individual to another. For example, older visually impaired people and people who have lost their sight through certain medical conditions, such as diabetes, may well have reduced sensitivity. A trench was dug today. It will house the ducting for a new power supply for the War Memorial part of the Manor Waste

This week work will continue on cable ducting, La Linia paving and bollards, all in the War Memorial area.
