Week One of Manor Waste Refurbishment

The work scheduled for week one of the refurbishment of the Manor Waste was scheduled as “excavation/disposal”. One photo per day gives a flavour of the action.
The surface from the refurbishment, which took place at the time of Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee (1977), was never designedto take the traffic and footfall it now gets so a new subbase and surface will be installed. Some pedestrians also found the cobbles very difficult to negotiate.
