Meet your County Council at an event near you

The County Council is heading out and about this summer to meet directly with the public at a host of local events across Buckinghamshire.

Councillors and staff will be attending popular garden shows, markets and carnivals aroundthe countyto give residents the chance to quiz them on the work of the Council and the services it delivers.

Mark Shaw, Cabinet Member for Transportation, said: “People lead busy lives and don’t often have time to connect with their local council. So we’re going out to all sorts of local events so that we can talk to people about what they think about local services and what’s working well, or not so well, for them.

“We know from past experience that informal drop-in sessions in supermarkets are enormously well-received as they give residents an opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns about local services directly with us.

“I and my fellow councillors are really looking forward to meeting people right across the county so come along and see us.”

Events include:

  • Saturday 6 August – Monks Risborough Horticultural Show
  • Sunday 7 August – Wendover Fair
  • Thursday 11 August – Burnham Family Information service (Family Fun Day)
