One Marathon is not enough for Michelle White – she’s going to run London, then Edinburgh, just a month apart!
Michelle has always enjoyed a challenge but until a few short years ago running didn’t rank. Somehow, however, she was bitten by the running bug and, from an initial 10Km event, found herself committing to longer events – and the necessary training regime – culminating in the MK Marathon in 2017 and the Edinburgh Marathon in 2018. She’s now preparing to run London on 28th April followed by Edinburgh on 26th May.
Michelle usually shies away from seeking sponsorship but she decided that to train through the cold winter months for two Marathons less than a month apart, she needed to put herself under the pressure of expectation. Michelle has therefore decided to run in aid of TACT, which improves the life chances of vulnerable children through fostering and adoption. She needs to raise at least £2000.
She has organised fund raising events in the form of a Zumbathon at Chiltern Way Academy on 10th February and a Quiz Night at Wendover Christian Centre on 13th April. If you’d like to take part in the latter, contact Michelle on 07946 875638.
You can help Michelle brave the arduous training runs – for example running a half Marathon on her own around Wendover, Halton and Weston Turville, in freezing conditions after the February snowfall – by pledging your support here:
