Milton Keynes homebuilder supplies school with safety measures to keep students safe
In a bid to help Milton Keynes pupils stay safe with social distancing, Barratt Homes has donated 100 floor stickers to a local primary school.
With schools remaining open during the second lockdown, social distancing measures are more necessary than ever to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
Brooklands Farm Primary School, located on Fen Street, was one of the first buildings at Barratt Homes’ Brooklands development. As the local community has expanded, so has the school, moving from a one site primary school to a two site primary school.
Elisabeth Morrison, Head of Site – Fen Street, said: “We were delighted to hear that Barratt Homes had chosen to help our school function during these difficult times.
“The floor stickers have helped remind the children and parents how important it is to socially distance whilst at school to help slow the spread of the virus in the greater community.”
The donation included a number of circular floor stickers, which are placed at two metre intervals to remind the children to stay apart. It also included some arrows, which will help the school with any one way systems they may be operating.
Andrew Swindell, Regional Managing Director at Barratt Homes Northampton, said: “We are delighted to have been able to support Brooklands Farm Primary School with their operation during COVID-19.
“As a leading housebuilder, supporting the local community is really important to us. The education of young people is vital, so if our donation helps to keep children stay safe at school, we’re pleased to be able to help.”
Barratt Homes has also implemented many new measures and features at their developments to ensure the safety of the customers and staff. These include social distancing and the availability of non-medical grade personal protective equipment, onsite social distancing marshals, and revised site layouts.
