Milton Keynes Neighbours become good friends at Woburn Downs event

Leading homebuilder Barratt Homes recently hosted a dedicated event to welcome new homebuyers to the growing community at its Woburn Downs development in Milton Keynes.
Moving to a new area can be challenging but many people often report that one of the most difficult things to do once all of the boxes are unpacked is introducing themselves to their new neighbours.
With help from St Frideswide’s Church, located near the development, the sales team at the Watling Street development treated new residents to a BBQ buffet and an ice cream van on Friday 20th August.
The Mayor of Milton Keynes Councillor Mohammed Khan also attended the event and talked with the residents about their new home at Woburn Downs.
Ayo Audu, Curate at St Frideswide’s Church, said: “We are excited to have the opportunity to support the event by showing our love to our new neighbours while welcoming them to the parish.”
The development, now on its second phase, has a selection of three and four bedroom homes for a variety of house hunters including first time buyers, working professionals and growing families.
Alison Raine, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Northampton, said “The event was a fantastic success and we’re delighted that so many of the new neighbours came along. It was the perfect opportunity for us to encourage a sense of community spirit at the development and support our residents as they form new friendships.”
Woburn Downs boasts a combination of town and country living, offering a green environment for residents with lots of open space, foot and cycle paths, allotments and a nearby country park, Waterhill Park.
