More coronavirus mobile testing sites coming to High Wycombe and Marlow

Mobile coronavirus testing sites will be visiting High Wycombe and Marlow in the coming week.

The testing sites will be at:

High Wycombe, from Saturday, 19 September, for up to two days

Marlow, from Tuesday, 22 September, for up to two days

High Wycombe, from Thursday, 24 September, for up to two days

Please do not try to book a test unless you have coronavirus symptoms, or unless you have been specifically advised to do so by a medical professional. You can also arrange a test for someone else in your household if they have coronavirus symptoms.

Coronavirus symptoms include: a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. If you think you have symptoms, advice is available at 111.nhs.uk.

Tests at mobile sites should always be booked first and are not available on a ‘drop-in’ basis. Further details of the testing sites will be provided on booking.

To arrange a test, go to www.gov.uk/coronavirus and click on the appropriate link for you within the ‘testing’ section of information. It is also possible to order a home testing via the website.

If the mobile testing sites are fully booked, you will be offered testing at the next-closest location.

A testing centre operating in Slough is also currently open to Buckinghamshire residents, for booked-in visits only.

Gareth Williams, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Community Engagement at Buckinghamshire Council, said: “If you have coronavirus symptoms, please book a test as soon as you can and isolate unless you get a ‘negative’ result.  It’s really important that everyone in Buckinghamshire remains vigilant and continues to follow guidance on matters like social distancing and meeting with others, including the ‘rule of six’ from 14 September. By working together, we can help stop the spread of the virus, and testing is a vital part of this.”

Dr Raj Bajwa, GP and Chair of NHS Buckinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “Testing is essential to help keep NHS services running smoothly and to help vulnerable people stay as safe as possible from coronavirus infection. These mobile sites offer a great boost to our testing capabilities in Buckinghamshire, so we hope they will be well-used by those that need them.”
