Museum in the Community Programme

The County Museum Trust is launching its programme of new community partnerships this autumn:

A winter talks series for the intelligent lay man and woman by university staff starts on October 15th with a talk on ‘The Lure of Italy’ about the 18thc ‘Grand Tour’. Each event will be delivered by a leading academic in their field and there will be an interval glass of wine or refreshment to give participants time to enjoy the evening and meet like minded people. Book 3 lectures with the voucher code ULS2015 and get them for £15 book all 6 and pay £25. The full programme is on line here (the ’whats on’ page of the buckscountymuseum.org site)

A new community display space – if you are a member of a club, society or association get in touch – we have a wall space and display cases that will allow the collector in you to come out and show what your group does. Just get in touch – just email museum@buckscountymuseum.org

Displays in libraries – the museum will have a presence at Libraries in Burnham, Gerrards Cross, Great Missenden, High Wycombe , and Aylesbury from the middle of October offering a chance for visitors to enjoy the ’Curiousity Challenge’ objects displayed at the County Museum this spring and summer. Some libraries are offering an accompanying quiz and even a small prize!
