National Volunteers’ Week Inspires Charity Fundraiser by Volunteers at Bucks County Museum Trust
To celebrate National Volunteers’ Week this year, our volunteers have decided to do something delicious, attractive, fragrant and full of charming prose! They will be selling delicious homemade cakes, books and locally-grown plants to raise money for a local charity that they are nominating to support.
Did you know that 21 million people volunteer in this country annually, contributing £23.9 billion to the economy?! During the past year, Bucks County Museum volunteers have given more than 600 days of their time to the Museum stores, helping visitors and invigilating exhibitions!
Here at the Museum volunteering opportunities include: a Cubitt Car Assistant, family workshop assistants and exhibition invigilators. Have a look at our website for other current vacancies!
Tables will be set up at the Resource Centre, Halton (visits by appointment) and in the main entrance hall of the Museum at Church Street (see Museum website for opening times), so please come and browse in the name of a good cause. Our volunteers just keep on giving – thank you to all of the volunteers who are helping to run this event, and please show your support by coming down and buying a piece of cake, a book or a plant to take home!
Times: Tables set up at Halton Resource Centre 2nd -3rd June, & The Museum entrance on 2nd -4th June, 11-4pm.
