Never a better time to Be Your Own Boss – and now it’s BITESIZE!

Ever thought about starting your own business? You’re not alone; over the last 10 years there have been more start-ups in Buckinghamshire than anywhere else in the country! People thinking of starting a business can receive really useful support and guidance from the Be Your Own Boss programme to give their business idea the very best chance of success – and it’s now available in BITESIZE!

Join Buckinghamshire Business First’s new free, online Be Your Own Boss BITESIZE evening sessions starting on 13th September where a team of friendly advisers will help you decide whether you want to run a business, understand the basics of how to do so, and where to start.

Be Your Own Boss, the start-up business support service delivered by Buckinghamshire Business First and funded by Buckinghamshire Council’s Community Boards, can help you develop the skills you need in order to turn your business idea into a reality, and help you make useful contacts and connections.

Philippa Batting, Managing Director at Buckinghamshire Business First, said: “Now is a great time to consider starting up your own business, which can lead to a new exciting phase for your career. While this can seem daunting, there is support every step of the way, from assessing a business idea to finding potential customers and making sales and everything in between.”

Philippa continued: “Buckinghamshire has always had a high rate of start-up businesses. As we now look to build back better and stronger from the effects of the last few years, the Be Your Own Boss support helps ensure that every business that can succeed does so, and that every person with a business dream is able to access the advice and guidance they need to be successful.”

Following her attendance at one of the Be Your Own Boss sessions, Natalie Fleming from start-up business NMF Consulting said: “I found the session very informative and the suggestions were excellent in helping me to take a different view of issues, such as marketing and awareness, and also how to develop my business plan.”

Accessing the free support on offer is simple, with the first of three sessions beginning on 13th September. To find out more and book your place, please visit: www.bbf.uk.com/byob-book
