Noise Barrier Exhibition
In 2016 Buckinghamshire County Council was given an assurance by HS2 that it would provide £1.51M funding specifically to install noise barriers along Wendover bypass (A413) to address noise arising from the HS2 construction traffic as well as existing traffic noise.
It is important to note that HS2Ltd has not fully committed to approve any variation to the original assurance. This consultation is therefore to determine the community’s preferred solution so that the County Council can then submit a formal variation request to the HS2 Undertakings and Assurances (U&A) Committee.
The options are:
- Do nothing
- Barriers. This was the original option offered by Bucks County Council.
- Low Noise Surfacing (LNS).
- Very Low Noise Surfacing (vLNS).
The Noise Barrier Consultation started on Friday 30 November with a public exhibition. The boards from the exhibition are now available in Wendover Community Library but ask a member of staff if you can’t find it! This consultation is available online at https://bit.ly/2PiQQMF.
The consultation will close on Friday 4 January 2019.
Copies of the Effage Kier Consultation are still available in Wendover Community Library.
