This ‘One World’ themed festival as part of Buckinghamshire Culture’s Open Weekend promises to be a fabulous fun evening to remember for all the family. Tickets include FREE entry to the Goat Centre so you can meet and greet the residents and entry to the ‘One World’ art exhibition at the Obsidian Art Gallery – with selected work by over 30 artists and makers! This is a totally interactive festival with performers running demonstrations and drop-in workshops throughout, so whether it’s painting, dancing, crafting, joining in with the circus or feeding the animals, everyone is invited to get involved and enjoy NEW and exciting experiences.
The pandemic combined with the ongoing traffic disruption caused by HS2, has had a profound impact on many long established, independent local businesses. Festival organiser, Gallery Director at Obsidian Art and The Buckinghamshire Craft Guild, Trisha Woodcock, who is running this event in conjunction with The Bucks Goat Centre, felt that the time was right to throw this spectacular all-inclusive event for families to celebrate these three much loved local businesses and put them back on the map.
Trisha explains, “With the current economic downturn, coupled with the traffic disruption caused on our doorstep by HS2 we wanted a way to reach out to find new audiences, as well as remind everyone who already knows of us, that we’re here, and to come and enjoy a fun, interactive event allowing visitors to enjoy entertainment throughout the two galleries on site as well as The Bucks Goat Centre.
Tickets: Adults +16 £15 / Child 2-16 £7.50 / Under 2’s FREE (includes access to all demos, workshops and entry to Obsidian Gallery and The Bucks Goat Centre.
